But looking at game cameras that take a SIM
And send photos to cloud or your phone.

Are they a gimmick?
Do you need heaps of battery power and need 4G minimum??

The big issue I found with trail cameras sending pxt to your phone or the cloud is the sheer number of false hits that will be transmitted. If you get moving leaves/twigs/vegetation it will chew through your sim cards $$$$ quicker than you can say "where did my $60 sim card go? 48 hours later. Don't ask me how I know...
