Thread: Go Pro...the pros and goes...

I have spent many hours trying to get good footage of duck and geese, with several different cameras, the gopro is a waste of time for anything further that 5m or so, perhaps less, at 20m any bird is nothing more that a black dot against a big sky, If decoying in birds I use a DSLR mounted on a tripod, and partly zoomed, of course this means tht it is not always filming were the birds are flying, but sometimes it all works out,
I tried a sureshot, or proshot camera,( don't remember,) mounted on shotgun, worked ok, but fell to bits with in a couple trips.
going to try for a light weight DSLR, mounted on a hardhat next.
