Interesting experiment. Some of those deer seemed a little startled at their reflection.

An old uncle of mine who lived out in the boonies, often had goats come out of the bush and graze on his lawn. A billy saw his reflection in a glass door and charged it. Smashed it to bits.

Hard case that fawn. Tried something similar back in the days I worked on the salmon farm. Put a mirror in the sea cages to try and make the fish swim towards a shallowing net. As it took a big effort to get them to move en masse. Didn't work but worth a crack. I thought sheep were dum but salmon take the cake.

great to see that fawn made it through early months alone.... still looking for a buddy
