My Exciting Life (as seen through an iPhone)

Flying in to minesite in the Wet Season

Home for much of the year (in various different places)

    It's probably fine
    ]

Taking a 5,000 ton alluvial gravel sample

    Um...

    ...Yep.

    Whoops.

    That seems...

    ...reasonable?

Rehabbing the pits from the alluvial sample

    G'Day Gimp,

    Thanks for the fantastic images!
Like NZ, Australia can be a bloody hard country, in it's own way!!!

    I can't help myself!
When I seen the image of the collapsed Roller Bearing, I immediately started thinking what needed to get done, to get the plant (a separator?) back up and running.

Nice bit of $Color$ there Gimp!!!

    Doh!

That bit of the plant is a scrubber/screen. Had 2 days of downtime as we didn't have spare bearing of the correct size on site... It can be hard being 1,000km away from the nearest thing to civilisation in the NT.

Diamond mining is cool, the end product is much more interesting than a truckload of copper ore concentrate or something.

Played in my dads sapphire mine a few times. Hard work but nice to see the end results, mostly worn by Mrs Spiker.
