@veitnamcam The snow generally doesn't slide off in chunks as it stick to the asphalt shingles and just melts in place when (if) the weather ever warms up. It's a balmy -22*C with the windchill here today! The shed behind the snowblower in the third picture had at least two feet of snow on it and the rafters were flexing so much that it cracked the drywall on the ceiling so we had to climb up on there and shovel it off. It's pretty funny driving around after a big snowfall like that and seeing every other guy out on his roof shoveling. A gutterless metal roof would be pretty key but they're not very common round these parts.
@ONYVA the skiers and snowboarders are loving it now but it took quite a while for road conditions to improve enough for anyone to get to the hills. We spent two days snowed because the smaller snowplow that usually clears our street wasn't able to push back the 6 to 7 foot drifts that had formed at the end of the road and it turns out that our situation was rather common.
