    Tims forum cams

Got a cam off Tim, here are some pics
I didnt put it in a good spot, low light south face in the bush edge, so near dark with the flash the pics are good, in the natural light without the flash its not the best.
    I set it on 3 pics with a 5 second delay @ 8mp

Only put in 4 batterys as i was being cheap and it is an option, it worked well 500 odd pics 50% batt remaining

I will put camera in a better spot for some daytime pics, another area with a lot more natural light, also into goat country and see how it goes on them

those pics aren't bad, most camera's don't like low light conditions. I can't wait till my trail cam turns up, Tim was posting it today.

Couple of tips for newbys, point it south or as much as you can for less false triggers with bright light

Remove all small veg/grass from around your area, light braches etc,for less false triggers also

I have in the past taken 3000 photos of moving grass and pampass

Looking at the time stamps it took a photo with flash before the darker pic, maybe because its on 3 shot mode it snapped a random pic with out the flash, it has the flash going before and after that shot
I got 400 pics, a few possums and the pigs only about 6 or so of nothing, only 2 were like my second pic so its ramdom i was just showing that example, its not a trend

I've asked the manufacturer, they said they'd look into it for me and get back to me.

I suspect I'll get told it's a random occurrence based on ambient light etc etc etc blah blah.

Great pics moonhunt, cheers for posting them up.

looking at the 2nd pic it was right on dark...sunset shining though in pockets might have tricked the camera in to thinking day mode was still OK, you can see pockets of light so that might have stopped the flash?

Cool pics - what breed/type of pigs are those? They look a bit different to the other ones I've seen on the trail cam pics up here. These ones are uber ugly.

Sorry dougie, the breeds not sure... more like types, although i do beleve the white and black back in the day around here had duroc blood in it, the black with a slight ginger highlight is euro blood, 30 or so years ago pigs came here from great barrier blood and plenty more im sure
