Watched 6 Deer playing on a clay pan this morning just as sun hit it - magic

Trying to do same behind house with Pig (Possum as bait) but no takers around this side of hill
Wont be able to shoot off table but - neighbor shot yearling last week off his veranda - I have a Cam on his top lawn and he has good shooting range and FOV

Got my first mms acorn in 2011. The 6210 had water problems in the early models but they fixed it and the last one ran for over 6 years trouble free and its still going. Iv had a couple of new ones from them and they arnt good. The contact at ltl acorn has changed and I find them impossible to deal with now so Im on the lookout for a good transmitting camera with good trigger time and black flash.

Possum Isnt the best, Iv tried it here and generally they wont take it, goat wont get dealt to until its a few weeks old and even then its only when the beef fat has run out.

I don't think I have ever read an American thread. The 30 06 was the nearest hunting rifle when I opened the safe.

I asked it for ID but only got a grunt in reply. If it keeps eating my bait for another month Ill find out what it tastes like.

Looks to me like a Jumping Marsupial Pigaroo. The heavy tail and hind leg shape make me pretty sure. There have been occasional sightings for many years, individuals swimming between mainland Australia and Tasmania are thought to have been swept off course in storms and arrived on our shores.

It is clearly a front end loading pigsum which is also known as a greedy possig in the South Island. They are as rare as five digits on a west coasters hand.

We have/had 7 baby bunnies living at the end of the drive. I walked past the bathroom two nights ago and heard a noise, one of them was wheel spinning on the lino, the cat had brought it in and left it there. At. 3:15 this morning I had to get up and chuck the dead one the cat was playing with on the bedroom floor out the window.
