Been hopping over into neighbors 1/2 acre sheep paddock (their sheep died 3 months ago so grass nice and lush)
Waiting for freezer space and them getting fatter :-)
That battery duration on your MG984-30 @sneeze has got me scratching my head ???

Have had a trail cam for the last year out on someones property. Today I've finally managed to check them out on the computer. Pretty happy with the quality. Had a salt block in front of the camera for a while from memory, so I'm assuming that's what she was after.

Great footage, Pete. What have you put in the deer lick?!? :)
Question: Do deer play on those pads at night or only in daylight. Often if I see a big well used pad I wonder if it is worth having a 'stake out' but never have ??
I checked my cameras yesterday, they have been out for about 6 weeks...well one has been out since early May but they don't take photos unless they are turned to "on" rather than "test" :o
First camera, only one photo of a deer passing by early that morning
Attachment 119860
Second camera, lots of photos of a family group. There are three deer in this photo.
Attachment 119861
Third camera, plenty of possum and hare photos, then this guy appears

Wow @Cigar those are some good pics. I knew there was a good size buck up on that hill from the sign. Nice to get some eyes on him. I hope you can nab him!
Nice pics of the Fallow hope you catch up with him

@Cigar is that from a waikato fallow herd?
I went for a hunt yesterday and checked my cameras that had been out for 4 weeks. About 5000 photos in total - 500 or so of a broken punga branch, heaps of possum, rat, hare and magpie photos, but plenty of deer too so here is a selection.
First cam, one youngster having a feed.
Attachment 122129
Second cam, the usual suspects are still hanging around
Attachment 122130
Third cam, the two deer we saw are out on the clearing the next day
Attachment 122132
There is one in every family...
Attachment 122133
Don't see many of these
Attachment 122134
We were 6 hours too late yesterday...
Attachment 122135
Fourth cam, a reasonable buck (and a spiker hiding behind him)
Attachment 122137
Too cute to shoot!
Attachment 122138

"The Hunter that got away"
My friend's hunting buddy texted him saying was getting out of his stand he was cold, my friend said hang a little longer they move just before dark, he said no I'm done, his fathers trail cam snapped this shot! Hilarious and he's since quit hunting couldn't handle the abuse!!
that is just too funny.
Not Happy !!!
Why shoot Hinds this time of year and leave this
They wont make it through the winter - not here anyway, prob lucky to make it too winter with drought
1st one fawn - now 2 :-(
If they so f~~cking hungry - why not use the boat petrol money to buy meat instead of shooting a tough poor condition Hind and leave these Fawns to die a slow death
Not on my block - but wankers next door shooting on their own property - so nothing I can do about it except winge and cringe
Attachment 131013
@Sarvo sounds like they need bringing inside and warming up..... not much there but it will be tender
You’ll have to buy a feeder for them mate :). Might get some good photos too?
Collected my camera from a new area recently.
