    Tripod

Anyone know of a good light, strong, practice, functional tripod on the market, for video camera work when going hunting? Thanks.

    That's brilliant.

I've got a Sirui t-025x that I use with my spotter. Really happy with it for the weight. I remember reading somewhere that Sirui copied Gitzo's designs once their IP protections expired - but don't quote me on that. The ball head does what I want it to do but you'll probably be after a pan head for filming.

I wondered where the hell that posing went!! Just proves I can't multitask. Had two forum windows open at the same time ...... when I should have been focused on work.

I recommend the Nest 0.6m Aluminium Mini 2 section tripod Nest 0.6m Aluminium Mini Tripod 2 section
and the Nest fluid panning video head NT335H Nest Fluid Panning Video Head NT335H

The tripod comes with its own bag that will fit both the tripod and the fluid head for carry. Tripod also comes with a ball head for stills.
I also have a taller unit in carbon fibre, but it is bulkier to carry. I have found that provided the grass isn't too long, the shorter unit with the legs splayed right out gives the most stable platform when panning shots.
