    Video editing

So I grabbed myself a gopro style 4k camera to play with.
Just wondering how others go about editing down to useable lengths etc etc. Do I need a specialist piece of software ?
Then of course, how do I get the edited version onto forums such as this ?

Be gentle with me. This stuff is a bit out of my comfort zone

Once you have edited it out if you have a you tube channel you can upload it to your channel then post the link on this site, that way all people have to do is click on the link and it will take them to your video on you tube.

Good news is that the software is free. Windows MovieMaker (may need to download from Microsoft) or iMovie on Mac. Both will do a good job. Editing HD video is quite resource intensive though, so your computer may struggle if not up to spec. Once edited, upload to Vimeo (or YouTube, you will need free registration with either) and embed videos in to the forum.

Here's one of mine (not hunting).

    I use Windows Moviemaker
Pretty basic but gets the job done once you get the hang of it
JoshC makes some pretty good vids which are great to watch and also uses Moviemaker

    I use Any Video Converter
found it simple but quite competent for general chopping etc.
    Lightweight and not MS
