Playing around with car head lights trying to photograph an opossum... came out alright in the end
Strangely enough perhaps in some areas opossums are getting to be a scarce item in NZ.... comments?
Hawks having a munch on road or paddock kill?
One often sees road kill and a short time later they disappear, perhaps common hawks have there uses?
Another rat on the road
Went back two days later and the rat was gone... who ate the rat?
Perhaps it was a feral cat or something else?
harrier hawk - more pork - feral cat -karearea- seagull- or its jammed between the tires of a Kenworth or someone thought it the last of its species and has dropped it of at the nearest DOC office - or someone has skinned it and taken it to local food bank as a sausage - man one could have some fun with this - but really my quess would be my first two guesses

Photo taken up at the Makara cemetery, it could be said the nearest house is a good 500 meters away?
Perhaps this was a feral cat, can anyone tell the difference... Perhaps Gareth Morgan can![]()

Perhaps a local domestic pet farmland cat out for an evening stroll?
