Yea I got a rifle coated in Tauranga a while back and it was a wonderful job, the action went back together with no binding, looked smooth etc, but, yip a but, some months later I noticed tiny rust spots on the action and barrel, trigger and bolt are fine, I think that all the oil must have not been heated out of the steel?

Thats pretty bad, did you take it back? If they were a decent outfit they would offer to rework it. I have seen it before when the pitting is that bad that the blasting garnet Mesh size was too big to get to the microscopically pitted areas and thus corrosion remained but wasn’t visible to the naked eye. I typically offer a 3 year warranty against workmanship defects for most things.

Had @BigEarl69 cerakote a set of my scope rings. Great to deal with and very happy with the result.
