    Container Shelters

    Hey all

I own a busy supplying quality pre made container shelters. We have developed and produce our own range of pre made container shelters, these could also be mounted on posts/poles and on concrete blocks and walls for aggregate storage.

All our shelters are in “shelterpro grey” a nice neutral/medium grey colour that looks good and doesn’t show up dirt, dust and grime etc like white shelters do.

We carry stock of 6m, 8m, 10m and 12m wide, with 14m coming soon, for both 20ft and 40ft containers.

If we don’t have stock of something at the time, generally the next one won’t be far away.

    Business is called ShelterPro

A very similar set up has been in use at port Nelson for a covered area to carry out log scaling for the last couple of years. Fits x4 log trucks at a time and is standing up well so far.

How do they handle strong winds and snow loading?

They handle high winds just fine. As long as they are maintained with some basic care, like keeping the covers taught, not allowing them to flap in the wind etc, as this obviously adds stress to stitching etc.

They will handle some snow ok but also have their limitations. They aren’t designed for alpine conditions. Used sensibly, subalpine, they will last a very long time.
