    22 x 47 Lapua

Been patiently waiting for my 22 x 47 Lapua reamer for ages & it finally showed up

We built it on an ex 7-08 Tikka with a 22" 1-7 #3B Bartlein barrel.

I put my VX III Tikka load development scope & 5/8 x 24 suppressor on it.

I took it up the range last night to see how it would go.

Seems to like the old 75 Amax, I have some 88 ELDMs & 95 SMKS to try tonight

Went up the range this evening in pretty windy conditions to try the 88 ELDMs & 95 SMKs

Started with the 88 ELDMs & went up in half grain increments.

The first load of 95 Grain SMKs are at the top of this one, the higher loads weren't as good but might need to be tested at 2-300 yards to see their true potential

I'm very happy with its performance so far, great velocity for the amount of powder burnt

Very nice @Kiwi Greg, how does it compare to the 22 Creedmoor the yanks seem so keen on?

Took it up the range again yesterday, I increased the charges a little more.

Tried the 95 SMK as well.

They are both moving along pretty well given the 22" barrel

A couple more groups tonight with the 88 ELDM

So this one is all sorted as well, it is around 50 FPS slower than the 24" carbon one with the same 88 ELDM load, so not that much difference.
