Thread: 6BRX

I originally built this up in Feb 2013, with XLR chassis, Barnard P action & IIRC it has a 7.5 twist Lilja barrel.



It never shot as well as I would like so I used the action etc for testing other cartridges, when it wasn't just taking up space in one of my safes (most of the time)



I've learnt a lot from benchrest shooting so decided to cut the barrel back to 30", put a can on it, found my original 100 cases & tried some new powder & seating depths

The starting load was looking pretty good, more powder, not so much...



So I loaded up some more to see what would happen in the afternoon wind



Very happy with the velocity & accuracy

It looks like the twist in this barrel is too slow for the 110 SMKs & the 115 Bergers aren't that happy either, I will try some more projectiles

some of those little 6mm cases that are popping up all over are awesome. Would make a great lightweight varmint/goat/odd deer pops out gun.

Be cool to see one of them get some commercial success, there is a solid market for something smaller capacity than the 243 in a mini action imo.
