One of the "benefits" of a radial brake is the fact that it doesnt matter where it ends up on the rifle muzzle.
You chuck a thread on the rifle & screw it on, no need to phase/time it, very simple & cheap.
That also means that if you take it on & off it doesn't matter if it "walks" around the barrel, you hear this load of cobblers all over the place.....
A properly fitted ported brake with a decent size shoulder, 40-60 thou, not the silly 15-20 thou one on the radial brake fitted to this rifle, won't "walk" around the barrel if taken on & off, you don't need to torque them up to 80ftlbs, just hand tight is fine if hunting.
You can of course make either brake "shoulder" on the muzzle, but that can become problematic as far as machining tolerences go & it can effect the efficency of the brake
The other benefit of a Radial brake is that they are cheap & easy to make
Get behind each one on a rifle & it really is a no-brainer![]()
