    Kimber 450 Bushmaster

I got my Kimber 84M actioned 450 Bushmaster up & going this morning.

I will probably get the bolt fluted to drop a bit of weight off it, its just under 5lbs as shown, without bipod, but with scope & suppressor.

It recoils a little with the 250 FTXs & shoots the 225 FTX, 170 Lehighs subsonic very nicely too.

I'm very happy with how its turned out.

Terminator Products super lite wooden stock, 12" Vulcan barrel, Kimber 84m action, Leupold VX2 2-7x33 CDS scope with Alumina caps, Talley low rings, SSRNZ suppressor , Black KG Guncoat.

Thanks, off the top of my head around 300-350 grams, the Kimbers stock isn't that light at 750-780 grams.

Is this proprietary branded stock a laminated jobbie?

What I meant was, what stock was on it originally. My Montana stock is < 600 grams. Will the 45 cal hole fit in the standard weight Kimber profile, or did you need to use a larger profile barrel?

It is a light weight Cedar stock that we have made, we have made a few now.

They are soft but very light, certainly won't take the knocks that a carbon one will.

Carbon ones are generally, 600-650 grams, this stock is 405 grams with trigger gaurd

I might need some new scales, all the Kimber 84M stocks I have weighed have been 700-750 bare, no trigger guard, including the Mountain Ascent

I include the trigger guard in the weights because it is screwed to the stock.

The Montana SS 84M trigger guard is 70 grams, the alloy Mountain Ascent is 25 grams.

The standard Montana stock just needs a little relieving in the barrel channel to take the 450 BM Barrel.

Exceptional to have a scoped/suppressed rifle below 5lb. It must feel like a .22

I have added a couple more sections to the suppressor & it is a bit quieter now subsonic.

Took it along with some other rifles today to shoot some steel

Shot it at 565 Yards. with Hornady Factory 250 FTX rounds.

They have a muzzle velocity of around 1950 FPS out of this barrel.

It is zeroed for subs at 50 yards, the supers are around 8" higher at 100, lucky this can be programmed into Shooter

Its a long way for a slow little bullet, it goes transonic at 350 yards, makes a 30 cal Corlock look pretty aerodynamic

Here is a short video of shooting it today.
