Thread: A little play at the range with a suppressor brakes, vids

I went to the range to have a play testing the effects a suppressor & brakes on recoil.
This was just for fun & a spur of the moment thing & as such is more agricultural than how I normally test brakes.

The first one is my Kimber 308 shooting 150s at about 2800fps, it weighs 3.3 kgs, 7.3 lbs with bi & monopod.
The first shot is no brake or suppressor.
The second shot is a suppressor.
The third shot is my T2 brake, I will be building a 3 port version for the 308, 223 case.



This one is my old 300 Rum, firing Factory Remington 180s at about 3200, it weighs 3.9 kgs with bi & monopod.
The first shot is a long radial brake.
The second is a 4 port brake with adapter.
The third shot is my T2 brake.
The last shot is with nothing, watch it take off !!! if I didn't have a stop on the base it would have been long gone
