    I have no doubt that a break reduce recoil way better than a suppressor. But I still think that your test is somewhat biased.
    When you shoot a heavy recoiling rifle with a suppressor compared to the same rifle bare, you can feel a significant reduction in the way the recoil act on your shoulder.

    You could do the same test with a weight hanging on the front via a pulley system attached to the rifle. The pulley should be on a ball bearing to reduce frictions of course.
    The weight hanging could be the weight of the rifle bare for exemple. That way you can test different rifles of different weight with a similar protocol each time. I would be keen to see the results...
