I can't see the sense in having a rifle that you have to have a round count for to keep it properly tuned, some of them every 50 rounds & you need to consider its throat life before you pull the trigger.
Some of the large case capacity 7mms especially will not keep shooting the higher BC pills for their entire "quoted life" & they need to go to more conservative bullet profiles to continue to shoot well once the throat becomes roughed up/worn & becomes hard on the jackets.
Can you explain this a bit more, please, for the uninitiated. Is it because some projectiles usually need to be jammed in the lands in order to be accurate, and the lands end up burnt out for a good way down the barrel?
