Thanks for the suggestion @Glycerine Very mixed reviews on this $84.99 USD Brownells barrel. Oh well I will just keep a lookout.

What upper were you planning to use for the clone? Why don't you use a DD CHF 16" or ST CHF 16" which are both mid-length gas systems and available in NZ albeit pricey but cheaper than trying to import from Brownells.

My clone uses the Spikes CHF 16"... very happy with it.
Remember barrels are not included in the under US$100 allowance for parts from Brownells, you will still need an export permit for them regardless of price.

That I like very much. I'm considering an ambidextrous lower to make it more authentic too.

OK so I have an Aero COP upper on the way, it will be all your fault @grunzter when the accountant fires me! OK firing will be better than what happens to me...

I just need the barrel, yes a spikes would be fine BUT no one has them at the moment. Or any other decent 16" mid length barrel.

Mine will be going on a DSA lower with the same furniture as yours. Apparently DSAs lowers are made by LMT?

Man you two @300CALMAN @grunzter are making my fingers itch. I'm still collecting the required parts slowly. The Aero COP seems to be the only suitable option in NZ.

It seems that someone cornered the market. Although there are a few Voltors out there for some serious $$$.

    Now still need the barrel
