    Air fryer users

    Gidday folks.

So after owning a airfryer for a year and in that time using it to cook pretty much everything for a family of 3 and not using our oven( since getting said air fryer) I feel somewhat qualified to have a opinion on using one.

So figured why not start a thread and share recipes.

I'll start popping recipes out when time allows with work(cows need fed).

One thing I will say with meat is you can use the preset functions but for personal preference a meat thermometer is a game changer.

    So

Venison back straps- 57 degree internal temp. Allow to warm to room temp prior to cooking, allow to sit for 30mins after cooking. I usually pull mine out st 55 degrees and rest for the 30mins. Cook at 180 degrees for 8 mins with s&p and rosemary, then flip and 180 degrees for 5 mins. Usually pretty easy.

Chicken nibbles- 200 degrees for 15 mins, flip and repeat. Internal temp of 82 degrees. Job done.
    More to follow!

Don't use my oven any more either.

Cut up a mix (chef-type-folk would call it a "medley") of root veg - skin on - into 2-3cm cubes, toss in a bowl with a small slug of oil, salt, pepper, and whatever else tickles your fancy (thyme works), 15-18 mins at 180° with a shake half way, and restaurant quality roast veg!

Carrots and beetroot take longer. Spuds, Kumara, Parsnip, Pumpkin, Butternut - all bang on. A staple for me in winter. For a one-pot-wonder, add crumbed hoki fillet on top, and that's dinner done.

Also, next time you make risotto, roll up leftovers into balls, and give them a blast till golden brown and crispy on the outside... Poor mans arancini.

    Air fryer donut balls
One cup of yogurt and one cup of self raising flour.
Mix into a dough, adjust with more flour/yogurt as neccessary.
Roll into a sausage and cut off chunks and roll into small golf balls
Roll balls in melted butter to coat.
In air fryer at 200°c for 5-6 mins until just going golden
Once done, Roll in more melted butter then toss with cinnamon and sugar
