    Cold smoked Eel

Got given some large eel fillets . It's cold smoked and needs to be cooked . I've been told to poach it in milk . Any one add to this ? . Smells real good so want it to taste nice .

You can cube it, cover in batter and deep fry until golden brown, serve with salad and rice.

The 'correct' way to enjoy smoked eel is on buttered brown bread (rye / Vogels types) bread, with horseradish sauce. (how we used to serve it in first class hotels wearing white gloves, slver service and all that fancy carry-on)

The above was written slowly, for those of us who can't read quickly.

That's just to try and hide the fact there was bugger all eel there. Better adding more smoked eel to the smoked eel to pad things out a bit.

    Very envious Munsey.
