    Cooking Tuna

    So i stumbled across some Tuna steaks in my local supermarket, ive always wanted to try some so grabbed 1.
    Am i right that you just fry it like a venni or beef steak?

    Can do but do not overcook and dry it out. Sashimi is good too.

    What sort of tuna?

    Most is best done rare. It's super easy to overcook.

    I like tataki style myself which is rolled in sesame seeds then quickly seared.

    So would you say hot arse pan and a minute or 2 each side....its bout an inch thick

    For me personally I'd only be doing 30 seconds to a minute per side max. It cooks pretty quick.

    That would be for tataki style rare though. 2 mins will prob give you medium rare

    Yep. Using VC’s words, heat oil in the pan to super gazillion hot and then Pisshhhh Pisssshhhh, done.

    the advice I was given was cook it how you like your steak

    Iv only seared and sushied it
    raw yellowfin is divine
