    "Devilled " venison sausages.

    Need some veni sausages
A couple of onions(i had one normal one red but whatever you got)
    Some button mushrooms.
And whatever else you can find in the fridge and cupboards.

quick fry in a hot pan the sausages...dont have to cook threw just brown em up good.
While the sausages are browning slice the mushrooms an oinions.
Remove the browned sausages then add some butter and oil to the pan and tip in the onions and mushrooms.
Slice the sausages into bite sized bits and chuck in a pot or even better a camp oven with some water and a beef oxo cube and a vege one if you have it.
When the onions and mushys have browned chuck em in.
Bring up to a simmer then start adding goodys.

This is what I stuck in but whatever you have...fresh is best of course so if you have fresh chillies and garlic etc go nuts.

Sweet chillie was more for a bit of sweetness than any heat.

Glasseye creek sauce is the bizo.

Keep adding cornflour mixed with a tiny bit of water till a nice thick consistancy.

Keep adding chilly powder and garlic till its as hot as you can handle then add a bit more...its the devil remember.

This Is an ideal (or a stew/cassaroll) thing to make up and freeze solid in your camp oven for fly/boat/drive in trips so your party can have a hearty hot solid meal after a big day hunting with minimal fucking around just find the camp oven and heat it up.

I guess you could always use a can of WAIKATO to kill any fungus but that would ruin the rest of a good dish.

Mushrooms in all forms are the one thing I pick out of all my food. Even my dog won't eat them.

Cam I might have some fresh chillis for ya to try. Missus brought them and apparently according to the label "Indian farmers cut them in half and rub them on their fences and trees to deter elephants from wrecking stuff?" So they should just about be hot enough for ya ??

Ha ha ha ha the thought of an Indian Elephant being deterred by a humble Chilli is hilarious.

    "Devilled " venison sausages.

Gave it a nudge for tea tonight had to make do with beef sausages and no fungus in sight
Chucked in some red peppers instead
They tasted pretty dam good and had a good dose of what I like to call the double burn (burns on the way in and again on the way out)

Mushrooms are the food of gods. I go through about a kilo a week usually (yes I am aware that is a fuckload of fungus). I'm an addict. Everything gets the mushroom treatment.

Considering giving one or more of these a go in the nice cool dark area under the front deck Mushroom Gourmet | Home

Shaggy inkcaps are so tip top I'm salivating thinking about it
