    Duck Jerky

Anyone tried to make some? Was it any good?

Got a batch of venison marinating now and was going to try some duck breast in the same marinade.

Will give it a go anyway but I am curious if anyone has tried it.

Venison jerky is great. The trick is in not completely drying it out.

This will be my first batch in a new dehydrator so I will have to keep an eye on it.

Doing a kilo of veny, duck and a bit of homekill beef.

You will need to pour a good long drink to go with that because you will eat it far to quickly.

First batch done. Not as spicy as I like but great flavor all the same.

Duck is actually better than the venison Imo.

In a blind taste test of sorts the dozen or other people that tried it today prefer the duck😆

It turned out more savoury than spicy or sweet. I will make a spicier batch next lot.

Is that all you use? Simple is better in my book. I think I had way too much going on and it killed my spices. It turned out good going by everyone that tried it, but I reckon I have had better out of a packet.
