Thanks for all the positive feedback! It is greatly appreciated. I've hardly posted any links to my channel here because I don't want to be "that guy" who's posts are just YT channel promotions. I've mostly done Shorts as a way to build subs (5,600 now). But also; a time factor thing. The Shorts are just clips of the animals and things going on, on the property, The hunting/cooking vids will focus heavily on goats because they're NZ's most accessible game species and a VERY underrated meat!

But now I will begin pushing it much harder and mostly do longer vids. They'll focus on living off the land and all it's parts, cooking wild game, cheaper eating tips/ideas/recipes, rural interviews.

I'm also going to begin doing long form interviews with people in the rural sector encompassing all aspects of rural life. Think of it as the "Poor Man's Country Calendar"! But I won't be restricted to just farming stories as there is a huge amount of scope for different subjects and stories. Soooooo... What would subjects/people etc would you all be interested in being covered? My first set of interviews will be with top dog triallists to hear their words of wisdom regarding dog training.

Here's a link to my channel. Thank you all for your encouragement! It's greatly appreciated! https://www.youtube.com/@rosssrurallife504/videos

@Coote I'm using the Leder tan at the moment, but am trying out a new tan next week. I've done brain, bark tanning. But the problem with doing those techniques on client's hides is that they're not always 100% reliable. And I can't risk that with a client's prized skin. I professionally tanned for around 10 years and used Leidreiters (now Leders which is a chrome tan too) for floor skins and Lutan F for the skins for mounting.

@Jhon I've been using the Hwa mini 223 mostly. Just because it os so precise for head and high neck shooting goats for skins/meat. But I will be going back to the 303 as it will be part of my "schtick" for videos. The 303 captures a hunting and "303 lovers" crowd. Funny; the goat hunt vid below had netted me 4.5% of my subs! But mostly; because I love using it!

Subscribed, Thanks for the link Ross I've loved reading all your posts especially regarding eating goats, I've enjoyed it the few times I had it so nice to see it used & not just in curries.
