HeyheyheyheyheyHEY. Canadians do Pumpkin Pie too! It's a classic! Very yummy. The trick is to make your own pumpkin puree and not buy the canned stuff. I've always used evaporated milk for mine too instead of cream, not sure how it would turn out with the latter.
Pumpkin pie with a dollop of whipped cream seriously is the way to go on an autumn evening eh. It's sweet but mainly from the type of pumpkin, there is minimal brown sugar added. It's all about the spices too (allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg...)
Dougie, I could not get over the fact that you could buy pumpkin puree in tins!!!! I brought back a tin of Pumpkin Pie Spice. I love some maple syrup drizzled over the top!!
