even better is mussels cooked on a well seasoned breastfed MOW shovel blade-got to be the realdeal not one of these DIYstore chinese imports.
speaking of which if ya were a guts a good feed could be had off a coalminers banjo shovel gently heating over a driftwood fire. the old 4gla kero tim was always a handy one to have two if you had a few with hefty appetites eyein up the seas bounty!
BTW was it 9 or 12mile that were also rumoured to be pretty flush with easy picking crays in those days.??

Although I didn't go for them, as had a pretty good supplier (family fishermen) and at the time they weren't that special.
