    Not game cooking, and no recipe

    I just managed to get my grubby little flippers an a single penguin sized cast iron camp oven .
    Seasoned it yesterday, and keen to give it try out tonight...but.

    Plan is to make a sheppards/cottage pie in the thing. I have my minced beef etc and mashed spud all ready to go, but need to know the best way from here.
    Do I : cook it with lid on, on top of wood burner
    Cook it lid on IN woodburner
    Us the gas bbq with either lid on/off options.
    I like to have the spud browned on top.
