Alright, here's the plover I got on Saturday, posted about it in the 'what pesties did you bowl over today' thread. I'm owning up to my promise of cooking one asap after I put up a post a while ago asking if anyones cooked them.
I salted this in the fridge for a few hours beforehand, then pan fried to medium (I think)..
Served on a parsnip puree, with a plum jus (plum jam + red wine + parsley stalk)
It tasted surprisingly good actually, texture was comparable to a rump on the tougher side. It was so appealing even Mum tried it! Tasted better than goose IMO, more like swan

Happy he took one for the team and did it for all of us - now most of us would not have bothered to try a taste test - but he needs praise from all of us - but he can keep them thanks
