I only have experience with homekill, where I used preston meat packers in Levin which seemed pretty good. No idea about his salami making abilities though sorry
Don't go to A1 meats. Once was enough.

Whariti in Woodville is great they do our lambs, I also take venison in there. Their salami is ok we prefer the spicy one but it's not that spicy, in our opinion anyway. They also offer a discount if you are a deerstalker. IIRC there's a minimum order for salami I think it might be five so probably best to call ahead if you are only after a couple.Quote:

There was a bit of scuttlebug about Whariti meats not giving back what was given to them a few years ago. Turned out a friend of mine investigated and ran some DNA testing on the meat given and got back and it was the right stuff. Waikanae Butchery has been good for me with venison and duck salami, kranskies and sausages etc.
Terry who owner operates it is a great guy.
either Wharite Meats or the guy Saville down at Otaki meats Otaki Beach , both do a good job
I haven't had any salami from the Family Butcher but they do a good job on homekill and are just good to deal with in general.Quote:
