I always like to put rabbit quarters into the crock pot and cook them long and slow with things like Onion, bacon, mushrooms, celery, kumara, beef stock and red wine.
Thicken the stock with corn flour just before you serve it up

brown meat first in a pan into the slow cooker and add whatever you have in the fridge pantry etc.
can't go too wrong.
