Took a rather manky mallard out of the freezer at lunchtime .4litre casserole dish-bed of onions spuds swedes and silver beet -around it then a dollop of anything i could lay me hands on including daughters vege s cooking in slow cooker -tart wouldnt let me put it in there! borrowed 2 cups of her cooking liqour ,a can of NZ lager and cup of water .
5hrs @120 C in oven plus a fair attempt on the balance of beer and voila. give it a through beating with the stick mixer (remove bird &strip meat off it)an bobs ya uncle,a bloody cracker heavy duty soup! be warned it looks like something seen in a babies nappy after a puku full of mums milkand moulied veges, but hell did it boost me stamina. even the stitching on our duvet could be in for a seeing to tonight.
