Thread: Using all of the Goat

Philipino bloke I had working for me couple years back was on his days off and I drove past his house in the paddock and saw him furiously waving at me so I went over to see what he wanted.

"boss, you want to try Philipino soup??"

so I answered

"does it have real Philipinos in it??"

He didnt get my joke, but ducks inside and comes out with a bowl of soup/stew and a spoon for me to give it a try. I took a spoonfull and swallowed it, wasnt that flash, then asked him whats in it.

"its goat boss, my friend shot it"

I took another spoonfull even though it was bloody terrible, and kind of tasted like rotten lawn clippings. Then I told him it had a flavour like grass (trying to be nice and not actually say it tasted bloody terrible) Then he tells me proudly,

"yes boss, you very good! tastes like grass because we make this soup just with the stomach of the goat and we leave all grass the goat was eating inside, we make bbq with the meat"

Gave him back his bowl and high tailed it out of there, dry reached all the way back over to my house, must have drank about 4 litres of water and ate half a tube of toothpaste trying to get the horrible goat compost flavour out of my mouth
