Venison Patties for the cooking challenged.

Interested to know what you'd use for a really simple recipe for veni patties.

    So far:

    Veni (duh)
    Breadcrumbs
    Egg
    ummm..........

Not looking for a complicated recipe, cause my eyes glaze over when people add lots of other stuff.

I think I have cooking attention deficit disorder. Or something.

    Thanx.

    Rolled Oats can replace breadcrumbs.
Tin of tomatoes. Basil/Oregano type or similar.
Bit of flour just to help bind and give a coating.

Venison and a dash of curry to enhance the meat...a teaspoon is plenty, not a fkn cup.

SALT! Venison must have salt or fat added.

Bacon adds both at the same time.

I use pork cheeks for fat and add 20% to the total mixture.
Well seasoned with Salt and Pepper and that's it.

People get carried away adding stuff imo when the whole point is to have a juicy Venison pattie. Not flavored meat you cannot identify.
I don't worry about a binder like egg or breadcrumbs. Just don't touch pattie till one side is cooked and it will stay together. Also cook from room temperature, not from the fridge.

Just some finely shopped onion and blits a handful of mushrooms (does not taste the mushroom but it keeps it lite and moist)
