Or $11 on ebay for a cheapo chinese one, I don't borrow many tools for small jobs when you can buy them so cheap, good enough for the small jobs

By the time something from aliexpress or dealextreme arrives I would have finished the job and sent it back (by severel weeks)

If I was going buy one it would be a decent quality tool from mscdirect or enco etc. Don't really see the point in buying something like that for a job that I am likely to do once in my life.

That tiny a hole and such a fine pitch, no thanks

Using a boring bar and HSS cutter, don't have carbide tooling for threading yet, so there is a limit to how small a diameter I'd look at doing.

Do you want it or are you going to have a 3 page discussion about it?

Thanks @marky123, tap is on its way back to you, much appreciated

Ended up having to single point it after all, turns out the gunsmith that did the barrel threading left it oversized for a tighter fit on the supressor...

    What lathe have you got?
    Mines a Boxford 11-30,11" swing,30" BC and a 34mm bore.
Swing a barrel blank no worries.

Spindle bore is too small for barrels, probably a good thing

I'd blame the silencer maker for the loose internal thread!
