    1/4×22 bottom tap

    Hi id like to buy or borrow a 1/4×22 bottom tap. Tried a few suppliers but no luck so far

    Unusual size, I can’t find a record of it. Do you know what it is designated as, unf, unc etc ?

    Go to repco they are selling kits which I think includes this. Just bought one as it had a 1/4x20 which is for stuck case remover tap.

    If you think that's odd, see what the enfields have.
    They are all over the place and almost completely proprietary. Small shanks with uneven number of tpi per inch

    So tracking one of these down is like rocking horse shit. Last resort is buy a set from site above. Had a thought got a contact at motat so trying there...

    Brownells have them but their shipping cost would likely be excrutiating.. The good ole days are gone sadly.

    Buy half a dozen of them out of China, and shipping will be free

    Saw a 'gain thread' on a chinese rifle once. Soft bolt and receiver (nut), and it stretched at both ends!
