Thread: 10/22 cross bolt bod

yes I know-I didn't really have to do this. I read about it on a certain local website (and some overseas ones too) and thought it would be a good idea. Already done it and then read an old post by gundoc basically saying 90% of these type of things are a woftam. He's worked on heaps of them and they work well without much effort usually
Ah well too late now. Haven't shot it for a while so don't know how it goes. actually haven't grouped it for yonks so don't know if it will even make it better.
Lets be clear here too. If I was paying for this it wouldn't have happened. Made the crossbolt and heads made from scratch
It certainly wouldn't be worth the expense for the time involved.
I played with this gun years ago with a little mod to the chamber/breechface and I loctited the barrel in, so with the barrel at least it is along the lines of one of gundocs improvements, and it always shot well for me at least.
Did the bolt release mod the other day and I was considering drilling the action for the cleaning rod. After that nothing to be done.
I have no issues with the mag release-works fine for me.
Good practice for something else I suppose.
