    .22lr barrel on Baikal Shotgun

Just fitting an Anchutz .22lr barrel to a Baikal shotgun action and keeping it dead simple, not having auto extract I want to be able to load and seat bullet then eject manually, Almost finished another half a day should see it done.
Some pics here for anyone interested, one of the guys on the site supplied barrel, old but never used like new.
I was looking at doing it on a Bergara action but to dear, picked up a nice condition 12g Baikal for less than 150 and total
to add barrel 50 bucks. Will show finished job when done. Some photos here of what it should be like. A nice lightweight
Simple single shot to go with the 12g
    Just have to load them.

So did you stub the existing 12g barrel or do it as a new mfr monoblock, welded lug to barrel etc?

New forend or using the 12 gauge forend?

What's the benefit/purpose of the manual extractor over the baikal style extractor?

props to you on doing a quality job but would it not be simpler, and more accurate to just slide in a rifled .22lr conversion adapter?
