Hi team,
I'm doing a T3 284 build at present.
I am in the process on deciding on a Carbon stock.
My question is has anyone painted a Carbon stock. I am hoping to add a texture to the finish. The carbon stock that I have seen previously are a smooth finish and I am worried it would be slippery when wet.
Anyone had this done, or any other ideas?

You could put some clear resin and sprinkle a bit of sand/ gritty stuff through it in the areas that are normally checkered.
I havnt found my plain ones slippery. T3 carbons tend to replicate the grip also, may end up a mute point?

I have one as is, and one cerakoted. The coated stock does have a we bit of orange peel to offer a bit more grip, but saying that I don't have an issue with the out of the mold one either when it's wet.

this is what I use on one of my stocks, seems to work and easy to touch up
I certainly found my Stug stock slippery the first time I took it out - it was a shitty wet day in the Blue Mtns. Have since put a bit of grippy tape on the fore end. That or any of the above methods will work.
Sorry to jack this post, what cailbers are able to be rechambered into a .284? out of curiosity?

Had skate grip tape on mine.
I have two Stug stocks... haven't found either of them slippery in the rain
