The 300 Blackout lives :-)

I got round to making the 300 Blackout (thanks for those who commented to the earlier post), based on a Howa 1500, I cut the barrel down and reduced the profile.

I then tried a couple of baffle options but have one working extremely well with a full over barrel suppressor.

If you use the 220Gr subs it is just silly quiet, with a mate commenting he could hear the bolt/firing mechanism working.

it is also very comfortable to shoot the 125Gr high velocity ammo without hearing protection.

The whole gun weighs in at around 3.2 kg and is only 990mm long. 300Blk was never a long-range cartridge but this would make for a great easy to use pest gun.

Now just to get the parts anodized and complete!

An even better bail gun too.

That will look shmiko when it is anodised!

What length barrel and ammo are you using? Cheers.

Brl is 11 1/4" ammo is 220gr Nosler subs and 125gr Nosler hi velocity

11.25 hmm that's short,interesting.Standard 308 you'd have a fire storm blasting out the end.lols

Well ive ordered one for my 300 B/O
but having the over tube go all the way back so no barrel is visible

Just about completed now, I finally got the anodizing back today and also changed to a more suitable stock for this project. Final testing tomorrow with a couple of baffle options then off its goes :-)

Have to say am very happy how this one turned out, it is a cool little package.

This over barrel suppressor lives sweetly on a Wingman,s design Elude design [Cheers to Rob for his handy work too ]

Out in the open there is a slight whoosh as the round leaves the barrel , then the Wait etc until the subsonic ammo impacts
i tested 3 boxes if this subsonic fodder and at 100m both the Hornady 190 grain SUB-X and 208 grain AMAX were very close to each other
the Nosler 220 grain Ballistic tip hit 20mm lower

i have fitted a Leupold 1-4x30 scope [pig plex ] so sighting in @ 100m is not long range targeting ,but if a sparrow was to alight on the steel at this range i confident not much would be left ..
Sorry no photos as the tablet [ the camera ] is not talking to the computer ] maybe i could take both of these out to the 100m mark and see if they will decide to play with each other again
