    Another 9mm bolt action

hey guys, i have posted sometime ago a 9mm project we were working on and i made it become available to the public. we are almost sold out to be honest.
this one is, however, based on a Rem 700 footprint (also a 9mm). just the action for now.
it uses AICS mags made by us as you can see in the images. bolt nose, bolt and shroud can be disassembled without tools.
we have plans to make them all black nitrided for the looks too.
it's missing in the images the ejector of the shells, sako extractor and ball bearing for the cocking piece. bolt nose will be fixed as it has a bevel on the firing pin hole.
    it's really just a prototype.
hope you guys like it and let me know your thoughts.

Nice work but I am not happy with the countersunk firing pin hole. Is it an optical illusion or a prototype piece?

It needs to be suppressed like a modern day De Lisle, that would be very cool.

Why did you switch from a pistol mag to the AI, is that so it will take Rem 700 stocks and accessories?

    thanks guys!
@Husky1600 - we don't have any answers yet, but we will try to make a first batch in 3 months or so. we really need to try this first and sort out any issue that comes up. because of that, price may change and weight may change due to design changes so I prefer not saying anything right now. surely, it'll be way more affordable than if you were going to import one in.
@gundoc - yes, the manufacturer will swap it out for one without the chamfer. it must not have a chamfer there.
@Sh00ter - yes, mostly to fit Rem 700 stocks and also for the looks of it. also, our mags feeds WAY better that the 1911 ones. there's no way to install a mag release inside of the Rem stocks as it would end up inside (upper part) of it. lots of mods to the stocks and we don't want that. a few other minor reasons too.

How about something with a bit more sub sonic oomph, for that modern day De Lisle??

    Otherwise very cool

One chambered in .50AE or .500 magnum? Could be downloaded with a nice heavy projectile. Or just do it in the classic .45ACP

Nice to see a screw-in bolt handle, I'd replace yours with a back-swept one like on a P-17 to allow you to trigger from the bolt.

Your magazine solution seems unnecessarily complex. Use a .223 magazine as basis for a double-stack, double-feed, 9mm mag. Would allow you to use standard .223 10-round stripper clips to load 9mm - like the broomhandle Mauser, here the mauser 9mm stripper clips shown, but the .223 clips are cheaper than dirt.

thanks for all the tips! we thought about the 9mm as its the easiest ammo to be found and to be cheap as. next one will be 45 and we have a couple bolt noses being made for our actual web version. we probably will offer both the old style rifle and the new action. not sure yet.
about the magazine for the 9mm, its not that easy. first, a feeding ramp must be somewhere and its located on the barrel and mag. if you try to feed a 9mm located on the back of the mag, it will jump up and jam somewhere in the action. it should be as close as possible to the barrel. there's a mechanism to that.
we are going for the looks of it too.
sorry for the tardy reply. i was really busy chilling out

we may have a 22LR for the Rem 700 platform on the go. have a look: 22LR Rem 700 footprint
