This years project is rebuilding a Honda Trx. I’ve done a couple now and have enough parts to do this last one, which I said two of them ago.
Anyway got all the bits back from being galvanised, so a few nights in the shed coming up:)

nice hot dip or electrogalve? Will you/can you paint or powdercoat the frame over the galv?
Good shit Ross. I'm thinking of buying a shitter and rebuilding it as a project too. Might need to pick your brains at some point.

What's your approach regarding those welded on nuts that are now filled with Galv?

Try and start with a reasonable frame and cut out any rust. Worst I’ve done is replace the whole bottom of a frame, never again it is to much work cutting, bending etc. Half the second hand ones have frames that are buggered, most are over 20 years old though.Quote:

Don't forget to remove rear axle and lube splines if you don't already know about this. Saves splines stripping and wrecking diff as well. Looking real good. Great effort.

Nice one Ross, that looks bloody good, great bikes these. My mum has a 89' TRX300 "Bigred" thats only done about 4000kms since new, shes only ever used it to potter round the home orchard and ferry a bit of firewood from the house to the shed, its literally like new but no amount of begging or money will take it off her - I've tried! So looks like im gonna have to wait a few years and ship her off to a rest home, thats the plan at the moment anyhow haha.
Theyre bloody good bikes and if I were in the market for a runaround this would be bloody ideal.
As you do on a Sunday morning, shuffling around in the shed I was looking up in the rafters for something else. I found a project I started awhile ago and thought I’d do a bit more on it.
