Anyone made an engine block coffee table before?

I've managed to score a straight 6 engine with spun bearings for 50 bucks.

I can probably get some glass from an old fridge door at work. And my brother is a welder.

Anyone made something that has cut outs or internals visible?

    Thinking something like this.

Got two 351 Cleveland blocks for the TV stand, cleaned them up and painted them with silver aluminum paint - didn’t make them light, (they’re fairly weighty to move into the lounge)

I had toyota 4EFTE engine that spat a rod, done the same thing. I had my ex collegue at Schlumberger sneak it in on the quiet and acid bath the head, block and sump.

He was able to cut the block in half, but left the head complete for balance. just mounted it with 4 risers off the rocker cover. I installed the pistons, rods and crank and epoxyed the rod back through the hole and the pistons in place, with a few supporting spanners jb welded in.....

Then I left for wonderful NZ, where a land rover defender costs 90K+

Sold it for 100 GBP to a mate.

    Do you have any pictures?

I'm going to order some 12v LEDs from Ali express.

Just deciding on height's, glass or acrylic and whether or not to keep the head on.

going back over 30 years man.

We imported the first Toyota Starlet GT Turbo, blew it, and made it better the the 5F-T-HE engine.

There are pics, but most are from film, I'll get some.
