    Backyard Bodger strikes again

Felt the need to give the Browning AB3 a birthday. I brought it for the wife/kid as it's .243, but it's a fucken lazer (half MOA sorta lazer) so now it's MY rifle.

Bit of a paint and bubba's back yard bolt handle mod (love Browning bolts but hate the knob)Name: IMG_20201125_125515.jpg

She's not perfect but I don't really care. It's a sub K rifle and I am not ashamed to say I love the bitch.

    Stock.....

Hahaha, nah got given it by the Bros who were doing some work by our place. Was gonna be a coffee table for the cave but they can have it back if they want. (Bottom/side is fucked though which is why I got it)

And I don't abide by them rules so I will roll it any direction I please

Hey - thats th best Browning bolt knob I've seen, was looking at 223's the other day and the Browning ticked a lot of boxes but never got past first base due to the wierd "appendage"

Yeah, love my Brownings but that strange little lozenge is just awful. Was gonna get a replacement from the States but be fucked if I can wait 3 months and have to deal with the paper war.

It's not perfect, but I don't care. Little more time and effort it would look factory.

Bear in mind this was achieved with an angle grinder, metal epoxy, files and sandpaper in probably 2 hours of actual work.

It looks quite big but it isn't. Just a nicer shape (for me anyhow)

What did you use for the grippy finish?

Some kinda Dulux rattle can. Marble effect I think. Needs to be cleared in 2k I reckon (which is what I did) as don't think it would wear well by itself.

To be fair could have probably done with a scuff before the clear as it is quite aggressive.
