Thread: Baikal - sling stud removal

Arvo all, I've a Baikal single shot that I'm keen to over barrel suppress.
Difficulty is that its been shortened to the extent that the barrel attached sling stud is an issue.

Anyone have experience with removing the sling attachment?
I'm wondering if its welded on or just soldered and I can heat and remove myself.
Other option I guess is to go bubba on it and grind it back, leaving the flat still on the barrel.

Additionally - anyone seen any decent guides/info regarding smoothing out the actions on the Baikal?
