    Barrel change, need advice

    Can a remington barrel be screwed into a Husky 1600 action.
    mechanical wizardry afoot again.

    No. .980" - 12TPI so smaller and courser thread. Remington is 1.05ish" 16tpi

    Any idea how to adjust the trigger on these things
    I have one made in 1964 that is great , some one has obviously worked on it and another made i 1957 that is ok but heavy

    Have been pondering over this today - once you've cleaned up the Remington it doesn't have enough material to re thread to fit a small ring Mauser like the Husky.

    Heard it is also a method to re barrel P14s as they have a larger barrel tenon than most. Not always ideal though and other factors come into play.

    Sorry don’t seem to have the 1600 model.
