before you line the walls put in heaps of fixings for toilet roll holders,towel rails,shower doors etc. then draw a map of all the fixings ,studs and dwangs on every wall. only takes a sec , and it helps when you decide later to mount some extra stuff on the wall. pretty much every bathroom I do has something extra chucked on the wall as an afterthought.

Or just line the walls with treated 12mm ply so wherever you want to put a screw there is a more solid wall - I've done that to bathrooms and kitchens
