Looks awesome man. I have a similar project in mind to get more cold smoke volume. I have just been using a smokai bolted to a re-purposed bbq top smoker and while it works well, can't fit much in it. This spearfishing malarky certainly puts a bit of food on the table!
How did you strip the painted finish?

Im in the wrong bloody local for this spearfishing...bought one this time last year(speargun) hasnt been in salt water yet.
